Skåne, southern Sweden: rich farmland; flat horizons. An adulterous couple on the run decide they must put things right and return to their families.
But what if their affair is the only thing that actually was right – and what if even their families dread a return to ‘normality’?
Pamela Carter’s play is a brilliant exploration of the impact of guileless, uninhibited love – and its effect on the relationships we think we know…
Carter’s recent credits include What We Know and An Argument About Sex at the Traverse Theatre.
Tim Carroll was Associate Director of Shakespeare’s Globe from 1999 – 2005 where his productions included Twelfth Night (Olivier, Evening Standard, Time Out and Critics Circle awards), The Tempest, Richard II and The Golden Ass (all featuring Mark Rylance). Continually in demand internationally, his recent UK work includes Merchant of Venice (RSC) and the Award winning Adolf Hitler, My Part in His Downfall (Bristol, Hampstead and Tour).
Contains nudity.
